From the studio
Before he was known as a healer, Doctah B Sirius worked in music under his given name, Courtney Branch. AllMusic lists his credits as Courtney Branch "Doctah B Sirius" (AllMusic). His own biography describes him as a multi-platinum record producer, engineer, songwriter and percussionist, a founding member of the production company Total Track Entertainment, and one of the early builders of West Coast rap. It credits him with production work on India.Arie's 2006 album Testimony: Vol. 1, Life & Relationship, which was nominated for a Grammy, and press coverage now introduces him as a Grammy-nominated producer (Elevation Time; PR Newswire; Rolling Out).
His healing story
By his own account, the stress and lifestyle of the music business wore him down, and doctors diagnosed him with a serious autoimmune disorder. He says he turned to herbs, plant-based eating and natural healing, and that this brought him back to health (Rolling Out). That personal recovery is the foundation of everything he now teaches.
He describes himself as a doctor of metaphysics and a master herbalist, and he makes his own herbal formulas, including cleansing programs aimed at parasites (Elevation Time). On radio he has spoken about the summer solstice, telomeres and the "fountain of youth," and has given advice to people moving from eating meat to a vegetarian diet (Black America Web).
Medicine Music
Doctah B joins his herbal work with sound. His Medicine Music recordings blend rhythm with tones tuned to 432 and 528 hertz, which he presents as music for healing and balance (PR Newswire).
In 2026 he published What's Eating You, a book with a foreword by the minister Michael Bernard Beckwith. It comes with a Medicine Music companion of about seven hours across 22 tracks. The book's idea is that much of what people take in, from food and words to music and unexamined habits, can act like a parasite that drains their energy, and that plants, sound and language can help them take it back (PR Newswire; Rolling Out).
Editorial note

The healing claims
Doctah B Sirius teaches that herbs, plant-based eating, cleansing the body of parasites and listening to music tuned to particular frequencies can restore health. He says this path brought him back from a serious autoimmune illness after doctors had given him a grave outlook.
